April 24, 2023
Eric Mannon honored for his technical expertise, and for his extraordinary contributions to the Microsoft Security technology field
NEW YORK, April 24, 2023 – BlueVoyant, a cybersecurity company that illuminates, validates, and remediates internal and external risks in one platform, today announced that Microsoft has named Technical Product Manager Eric Mannon as a Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Microsoft Security. This accolade honors technology experts who contribute to the industry’s success by sharing their knowledge and helping the community.
With more than 3,000 awardees worldwide, and just over 100 Security MVPs, this group represents a highly select group of experts that Microsoft considers the technology’s best and brightest. MVPs share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help others.
As a Technical Product Manager, Mannon supports BlueVoyant’s product initiatives for managed security services and professional services divisions. He is responsible for the evaluation and integration of Microsoft products and features into BlueVoyant’s products and services. Mannon holds numerous certifications from Microsoft, ISACA, ISC2, CSA, Comptia, PMI, Pragmatic Institute, and MITRE Engenuity. Mannon also serves as the lead Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) for BlueVoyant’s “Learn it all” technical education program. He has the ability to teach 16 different Microsoft certification exams.
“I am excited to see Eric’s technical expertise and dedication recognized by Microsoft,” said Milan Patel, global head of managed security services (MSS) at BlueVoyant. “Eric understands how the latest threats have evolved and how Microsoft and BlueVoyant can help our joint clients improve their cyber defense posture.”
Of the award, Mannon said, “I am honored to participate in the Microsoft MVP community and support mutual clients as they mature their SecOps program with BlueVoyant Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) services and Threat Informed Defense.”
Mannon’s award is among a long list of recognition BlueVoyant has received from Microsoft. The company was recently named a finalist for Security MSSP (managed security service provider) of the Year in the Microsoft Excellence Awards 2023. Earlier in 2023, BlueVoyant’s Director of Product Management, Mona Ghadiri was also named an MVP for Microsoft Security. In 2022, BlueVoyant was honored as the Microsoft Security U.S. Partner of the Year, achieved Microsoft verified Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) solution status, was a finalist in the Microsoft Canada Impact Awards in two categories — Healthcare Impact Award and Security Impact Award — and was one of Microsoft’s top 150 managed security partners. In May, BlueVoyant announced that the company was a key design partner for Microsoft’s three new security services, including the MXDR program. In 2021, BlueVoyant was named a Microsoft Security 20/20 Partner Awards Winner for Top MDR Team.
