Improved Security Operations Powered by Microsoft Security Copilot and BlueVoyant

Last April, Microsoft Security Copilot taxied down the runway and took flight to help passengers onboard to reach new destinations in cyber defense. BlueVoyant, as a Microsoft Security Copilot pre-launch design advisory council member, was a trusty flight attendant that helped Security Copilot safely take off.

Today, as Security Copilot has reached its cruising altitude, Microsoft announced Security Copilot agents that help its passengers to further optimize Microsoft Security tools usage. BlueVoyant, in support of this release, has created our SecOps Tooling Agent to better assist you, the Microsoft passenger.

SecOps Tooling Agent by BlueVoyant in Security Copilot an agent designed to be a seat upgrade toward solving tooling issues that cause us to miss data. Why? Because we noticed that some organizations were ringing the call button above your seat for help with SOC operations. Specifically, they wanted to ensure that your SOC analysts are presented with the full and complete picture of an incident so they can do their jobs.

The SecOps Tooling Agent by BlueVoyant takes three steps to navigate a dynamic and complex decision tree and do its job to help the SOC team:

  1. Establish a baseline – After making sure proper Security Copilot connectors are enabled, the agent will run regular reports that prompt automated health and monitoring.
  2. Analyze for variance – Once the baseline is established, the agent will compare subsequent reports. Any discrepancies or variations from the baseline are forwarded to be triaged or diagnosed for future analysis.
  3. Troubleshoot and recommend – The agent can then troubleshoot and provide recommendations on what changes to make and how to implement them.

Why should you trust the BlueVoyant flight attendant?

Over the past year BlueVoyant’s novel approach to readiness and deployment of Security Copilot has allowed us (Micah Heaton, Jaime Guimera Coll, and myself) to create Security Copilot deployment guides, readiness assessments, and assembled our views on Security Copilot prompting and syntax to help customers make the most of the Security Copilot investment, and make sure they are ready for where they will travel next.

Here are some of the notable heights we’ve reached:

  • We were proud to serve as a design advisory council member for Security Copilot at its launch
  • Collaborating with the Microsoft Security Copilot product team, we enabled partner-focused features for third-party access to Security Copilot, and tested new features, like usage monitoring and multi workspace support.
  • Our team presented at prestigious Microsoft events, including a panel at Microsoft Ignite.
  • We co-hosted the first-ever Security Copilot prompt-a-thon at the Philadelphia Microsoft Technology Center in February 2025.
  • We established the Summer Camp webinar series, and  Step Up to the Plate for Security Copilot webinar series, providing a solid foundation for introduction to the tool and technical content for education and growth.
  • We conducted the largest Security Copilot Proof of Concept (POC) to date.
  • Our efforts extended to assisting more than 50 customers with Security Copilot training, readiness assessments, and/or POCs.
  • I will be featured in a to-be-published video with Microsoft to highlight our impact and share our success story, to encourage others to see additional benefits from Security Copilot.

The view from your passenger window

If you take a quick peak outside your airplane window, you’ll notice that the future holds immense potential, and we are charting a new set of destinations.

  • We look forward to feedback on our offerings, including our new agent and seeing its impact on the security landscape.
  • Our team will continue to fly to the routes for which we are uniquely suited, conducting more security readiness assessments for Security Copilot to ensure on time departures and arrivals.
  • We offer more altitude in the form of other training sessions and events like Step Up to the Plate

BlueVoyant is proud to be a recognized leader and partner for the launch of Security Copilot partner agents. Our collaboration with Microsoft continues with on-time arrivals and departures. We look forward to serving you wherever you fly.
